Please use Google Maps rather than Apple Maps when possible. Rural West Virginia roads can be a little squirrelly, and Google Maps is usually the most reliable for finding the correct driveway.

Sweet Retreat is tucked away enough to feel private, but still close to the best of the New River Gorge area. You’ll be near Fayetteville, Oak Hill, Summersville Lake, hiking, rafting, waterfalls, local restaurants, breweries, and scenic drives.

Arrival Tips

• Cell service can fade in and out in the mountains, so it’s a good idea to start your directions before you get close.
• The property is on Mallard Road in Hico.
• Watch carefully for the Sweet Retreat entrance as you get close.
• Detailed check-in instructions are sent before arrival.
